Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

This represents the initial report on emissions from supplier. Distributed and virtual working structure for the supplier confirms a low carbon footprint. Supplier benefits from establishing low carbon operating environment and intends to maintain such measures for any future expansion.

Emissions reduction targets
We would expect our emissions to increase as the business expands its operation as a supplier of medical products. In particular our Scope 3 emissions categories of upstream and downstream distribution will increase. In order to progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
Whilst we project that our carbon emissions will increase over the next 2 years, we aim to decrease our emissions over the following years.
In order to progress toward achieving Net Zero, Revival Health UK Limited have adopted the following carbon reduction targets based on the company assessment:
- Office electrical supply moving to and continuing on a Green tariff by 2026.
- As the business grows and our international travel increases, we aim to reduce emissions from flights by 10% annually per £M turnover. This will be achieved through reduced number of flights (utilising remote conferencing as much as possible), as well as the progression of sustainable aviation fuels and aircraft efficiency.
- Working with logistics providers who demonstrate their transition to lower carbon emitting transportation and who share the ambition of achieving net zero emissions for deliveries to the NHS by 2040. Outsourced logistics to start the transition to non- fossil fuel powered vehicles from 2026 onwards.
- Encourage/ incentivise employees to choose lower carbon/ EV car travel both within the car fleet and employee-owned vehicles for domestic travel and commuting.
- Electricity grid emissions to reduce linearly to zero by 2035 (aligned with the UK’s target to achieve zero carbon emissions electricity grid), reducing home-worker emissions.
- Offsetting any carbon emissions whose reduction targets are not met by Revival Health UK Limited as set out in this plan.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
As a new company incorporated in 2023, Revival Health UK Limited's baseline year is from 1st May 2023 to 30th April 2024. As Revival Health UK Limited is starting on its Carbon Reduction Plan journey, we have not been able to quantify the impact from any historical initiatives, however the following emission initiatives are already underway:
- Office waste recycle points.
- PIR lighting controls within office space.
- EV charging points available at the office site.
- Home working provisions to reduce the need to commute to the office.
In the future we plan to implement further measures such as:
- Ensuring all Scope 3 emissions from all our suppliers are included in our future carbon emission reporting, in line with NHS England’s supplier road map (Greener NHS » Suppliers (england.nhs.uk)).
- Reduce the associated Scope 3 emissions from our supply chain, including the development of contract clause to address reductions in environmental impact, and promoting the use of renewable energy by our suppliers.
In addition to the carbon emissions assessment, we will also commence the process of assessing supplied products.
Where planned targets cannot be met by the carbon reduction plan outlined in this document, emissions will be appropriately offset through purchasing carbon credits.
We will also consider further environmental measurement measures such as ISO 14001 certification.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions will be reported and recorded in accordance with the published standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard1and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting2.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions will be reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions will be reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard3.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
